We are searching for LEADS engineering staff with development of Workday software applications. As a subject matter expert, MENTORS and LEADS engineering teams and team members in software delivery within Workday in an Agile Environment.
Essential Functions:
- PROVIDES leadership to engineering teams UTILIZING Workday and related technologies.
- OWNS complete solution across entire life cycle while UTILIZING strong problem-solving ability.
- INFLUENCES and BUILDS vision with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve complex problems for building enterprise class business applications.
- HOLDS accountability for the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions.
- LEADS design sessions and code reviews to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization.
- UTILIZES programming languages / databases (.NET, SQL, nosql), Container Orchestration services (Docker and Kubernetes), and a variety of Azure tools and services across the Software Development Lifecycle.
- EXECUTES Software delivery UTILIZING an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe) for continuous delivery, Infrastructure as code, Powershell scripting, Operation Portals (e.g., Azure Portal) and Monitoring Portals (e.g., Splunk and Application Insights).
- MENTORS junior team members in Workday and related technology.
- SHARES best practices and IMPROVES processes within and across teams.

- Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise, professional oral or written manner, to be understood by customers, clients, co-workers and other employees of the organization.
- Must be able to perform under pressure and stressful situations.
- May be required to be on call for production support 24x7.
- Must be able to concentrate and demonstrate a capacity for learning technical concepts and adapting to new technologies quickly.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field)
- 5+ years of Software Development within Workday framework
- 3+ years of experience building the architecture and design (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps Concepts, Cloud Architecture, and Azure DevOps Operational Framework
- 3+ Years experience building products in microservices-oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs
- 3+ Years experience in Data Center Structure, Capabilities & Offerings, including the Azure platform, and its native services
- 2+ Experience in Azure Network (Subscription, Security zoning, etc.)
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
